The workshop is being held a Sunset at the Palms Sunset at the Palms, an all-inclusive, adults-only, boutique resort that offers a sensory experience that no other resort in Negril can match, touching all five senses through a singular mix of lush, natural beauty in a garden setting; superior food; a private beach; and a high-touch, every-whim-met approach to guest service.

The resort offers 85 “treehouse-style,” elegantly appointed guestrooms and suites spread across two room categories: Tree Top Deluxe Guestrooms and One-Bedroom Tree Top Suites. Here is a little about Jacq Baldini who is also my wife. J. R. Baldini, IPAP, M.Photog.,Cr. Master Photographer, Craftsman, Signature member IPAP image ©J R BaldiniArtist-in-Residence J. R. I has a varied background in the Fine Arts as professional visual artist. She is a PPA Master Photographer, which means she stays updated on currents trends to help you look the best in your portraits, either as your Photographer or through her artistic finishing of your Fine Art Portraits. Her images have won many International Awards and have been published in many books and professional publications. She teaches creativity workshops worldwide, including Monhegan. Niagara Falls Arts and Culture Wall of Fame. Awarded her Craftsman degree in Photography from the Professional Photographers of America, Awarded her Master degree in Photography from the Professional Photographers of America, American Society of Photographers 'Regional Medallion Award ,The Professional Photographers of America awarded Lifetime membership 2014 . Owner of Baldini Vandersluys Photographers, Niagara Falls Ontario, and Niagara Falls Wedding Chapel on the Lane. I can’t believe it’s already two plus weeks since we’ve been in majestic Monhegan, painting with all of you. Honestly, after such a peaceful time in the island, it was really tough getting back to the hustle and bustle of the mainland! How I wish I could spend more time painting barefoot on the granite rock!

I enjoy seeing posts from the Everything Monhegan FB site as it is a good reminder to stay grounded and focus on nature’s beauty!

Thank you so much for creating such a rich experience for Olivia and me (and peripherally for Chuck). Olivia and I looked forward to each morning packing our equipment and heading out to a new location to paint! It was challenging to set up, mix paints and then brave the elements (wind and sun) but boy was it worth it when we were able to enjoy our creations! We both felt a great feeling of accomplishment knowing that we were able to finish a plein aire painting a day.

We both learned so much about color mixing, values and composition. We both loved the opportunity to just paint in beautiful nature each day. You were so patient and kind explaining techniques and giving pointers.

Though we both have solid experience practicing mindfulness, Molly’s guided meditations grounded us both. She really added so much to our painting experience, having us focusing more on the process rather than the product.

Thank you to Charlie as well as he helped entertain Chuck :) but also helped out with keeping us on track and coordinating the details.

The critique in the end after the delicious lobster dinner was fun! It was so wonderful to be with such a nurturing and supportive group.

Thanks again for a wonderful week and I hope that we meet in Monhegan again.

I have been looking at this website for years and never had the nerve to go. My daughter and I just got back from the Sarasota workshop and had a wonderful time. We learned so much in just two days. Jacqueline is an amazing person and teacher.

My advice to anyone that is afraid to go, just go! You won't regret it!

This workshop was fabulous! Having Jacqueline as a teacher was very inspirational. I have been doing oil painting since I was twelve and have a Masters in Art Education. Although I have taken many art classes in college this was very different. She taught me a different way to look at what I was seeing. It is easy to get set in one way of painting and not want to learn a different way. I enjoyed learning the techniques needed to be a successful Plein Air painter. She gave me the confidence needed to continue making art myself and not just for my students. I recommend taking this workshop even if you know how to paint, but want a fresh perspective. It is a challenge to allow yourself to change the way paint, but it is well worth work.

I have just been looking at the information on the Monhegan workshop. Wayne & I did get to Monhegan for a day, during our holiday in June and would love to return for a workshop. Not sure I can manage it though.

I also viewed the video on the June American Falls workshop - thanks again for a wonderful workshop.

I have been doing an oil painting course with a local artist, John Garde who also commences with a tonal painting. This is consolidating all I learnt at your workshop even though it is in his studio. A lot more practice is required! I need to get out and do some more walking and painting on the Cape to Cape track. Lots of love. Lots of love

Well, what can I say? I have been trying to grab a minute here since my return to email you. You and my Monhegan experience have been on my mind since the boat pulled away from the dock. I have been changed forever and I am forever grateful to have met you and to have participated in your workshop! I miss you , Molly and Sarah like old friends or like family. Wow. Thank-you for sharing your gifts with our class. Thank-you for helping me break through the barrier that held me back in my own work. I am inspired and excited to see how my work develops as a result of your input. Just wanted you to know how much I appreciated everything!

In a bit of a slump painting wise. But at the same time have come to realize we have cycles of things. We are not machines. Our conversation this past Summer about making art comes to mind often- How you said that it ceases to be authentic if you attempt to force it. I continue to add to my reservoir of images and ideas. Visit museums. Observe the cotton candy colored skies in the mornings on the way to work. Enjoy being alive. Have a week to paint before Christmas. Looking forward to that.
